Spyder Video Processor Helps AV Concepts Take Video to the Next Level in Las Vegas
TEMPE, AZ, December 5, 2005 - AV Concepts recently completed a show for a Fortune 500 software management company at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. With 3,000 people in attendance, this sales incentive program was overloaded with new and exciting technology.
Video included the company's new 12k SXGA+ projectors from DPI on three screens including a 15 x 50 foot center screen and two 15 x 20 foot side screens. The pixels were pushed to the limit because the client wanted the 90 feet of image width to be all high resolution, using a single HD source! The images were mapped using our new Spyder video processor and an expansion module from Vista Systems. The high-resolution image, 13 million pixels wide, was projected across all three screens using AVC's Qu-bit high definition hard disc source. The motorcycles revved their engines and the pyro exploded as we rolled the opening module, the action on stage was only as wild as the action on the screen as the motorcycles jumped and tricked in true high definition. The Spyder video processor gave us the ability to have separate HD creative content, as well as amazingly sharp graphics during the CEOs presentation.
The AV Concepts team provided various levels of support throughout the program, including helping the client design all aspects of the wide screen, referring a Technical Director and aiding in on-site management and logistics.
