The Spyder video processing system was developed for live-show producers who wanted flexibility, versatility, and comprehensive control over their entertainment productions. It's the ideal choice for the rental and staging industry. In fact, it's the most powerful system of its kind, with the most impressive capabilities available in one system. When it comes to live multiple-destination video and data mixed-signal switching, nothing even comes close:
Rental and staging companies prefer Spyder because it’s the only video processing system in the world capable of performing every image-processing task they need.
This amazing system gives you the flexibility and control to create exactly what you want to see onstage. Almost anything you can imagine you can do with Spyder:
Yet with all its versatility, flexibility, high-resolution and wide-screen capabilities, Spyder couldn’t be easier to use. Its intuitive software SpyderPoint allows users to program and edit “on the fly,” which is critical in the live-show environment.
But that’s really just the beginning. Spyder is a scalable solution, so it can grow to meet new applications and needs. In fact, it’s the most complete solution available for the rental and staging industry, and the only video processing system you’ll ever need.
Time and again, producers in the rental and staging industry have turned to Spyder for show-stopping visual effects and a flexible, creative live-entertainment environment:
Joys Production — Used Spyder at the Autosport International Show and the 21st British Hairdressing Awards, where they were asked to create dazzling high-definition widescreen presentations from a mind-boggling variety of inputs, including pre-recorded video footage, dynamic backgrounds, live camera feeds, and still photos. Spyder was able to create crystal-clear displays on a 105-square-yard LED screen and a floor-to-ceiling projection that spanned the length of a 68 x 18-foot stage.
Videotooth Event Engineering — Employed Spyder as the ultimate mix master for the Janssen-Ciulag Annual Meeting, where they integrated video footage with DVCAM camera inputs, PC-based PowerPoint content and Mac-based HD clips on widescreen without external up-conversion, down-conversion or scaling.
AV Concepts — Projected 90 feet of image width in high resolution using a single HD source for the national sales incentive meeting of a Fortune 500 software management company. The high-resolution image was 13-million pixels wide and projected across three screens, all from a single HD source.
High Resolution Engineering — For a Robin Hood Foundation Gala, Spyder seamlessly stitched images onto eight 64 x 18 screens with multiple configurations using 16 edge-blended projectors. In a separate production at the IBM Lotusphere 2006, producers relied on Spyder alone to process IMAG, multi-format graphics, live product demos and video roll-ins on a 17 x 80-foot screen with a pixel resolution of 4940 x 1050. Along with generating downstage-monitor feeds and additional delay screens, Spyder processed a total of 19 million pixels and 22 layers.
